IDS is the leading provider of equipment leasing software to large US leasing firms, such as Ford and GE Capital.   Its full year results, for the year to 31 December, showed a pretax profit before exceptional costs, of £2.7m on turnover of £35.4m.  Net debt fell to £16m.   Comparisons with 2000 are irrelevantbecause IDS made two substantial acquisitions that year.  Lastyear's  profit was still usefully ahead of expectations whichreflected three factors, including lower interest charges, a higheraverage  value of  contracts signed for the core Infoleasesoftware package ($400,000 each compared to the usual $250,000 -$300,000)  and deferred income being recognised  from an ...
