Shares in Russian gold miner, Peter Hambro Mining, jumped 21p to a new high of 547p after revealing a strong set of final results and havenow gained a fantastic 329% since our original recommendation in July 2002. The major factor in the doubling in headline earnings from US$5.1m to US$ 10.4m was the introduction of the more efficient resin-in-pulp plant in place of the old heap leach system at the group's Pokrovskiy mine, which doubled production to 149,000 oz gold. This year, production is forecast to increase 41% to around 210,000 oz.
