Prior to entering its closed period, BSS released a trading statement for the year ended 31 March, which noted that results are also likely to be slightly ahead of current market expectations. It noted that its major market sectors, such as health, education and social housing, continue to be robust thanks to government spending. BSS' preliminary results will be announced on 23 May. Following this statement, broker, ABN AMRO, has tweaked up its 2004/5 forecasts for pretax profit by 3% to £32m, with earnings of 74p. Strong hold. ...
