Styles & Wood, which project manages the process of fitting out and refurbishing stores, has announced strong finals, slightly ahead of expectations. For the year ended 31 December it reported an 84% rise in pretax profit to £7.5m on turnover up 57% at £269m. Earnings rose 56% to 8.1p. Operating margins rose from 3.5% to 4.2%. All divisions performed well, with the largest side, Storefit, which provides new store fit-out services, increasing operating profit by 89% to £8.4m. The other main highlight was StoreCare, which provides an "after care" service to clients, which chipped in an impressive 224% growth in profit to £1.6m.
