White Young Green, a consulting engineer focusing in areas such as town planning, cost management and environmental audits, has established itself as a firm favourite among investors. Back in 1999, the company had just posted a pretax profit of £2.8m on turnover of £35m but since then it has accelerated rapidly with the latest forecast for the current year to 30 June pointing to pretax profit rising to nearly £16m on turnover of around £208m.
