Following its positive year-end trading statement there were no surprises in the final results issued by business events organiser Tarsus, which came in slightly ahead of expectations. For the year to 31 December turnover rose 75% to £46m, while pretax profit increased 77% to £13m. Eps rose 61% to 16.6p. Net debt increased from £15.8m to £29m driven by five acquisitions made in the period. On a regional basis there was a strong performance in Europe where sales rose 75% to £25.7m. While much of the operational detail was covered in the last statement, it's worth reiterating that Tarsus' second largest exhibition, the biennial Labelexpo Europe, produced revenue growth 10% ahead of 2005.
