Early this year, former TMI Trader Portfolio favourite Burren Energy was finally taken over by ENI at 1230p a share, valuing it at Â£1.74 bn and representing a gain of almost 1000% including dividends for anyone lucky enough to subscribe at the float price of 130p back in 2003. One of the unsung heroes behind Burren's success was private equity house Baring Vostock Capital Partners, who not only financed it in the early days but also helped introduce it to the Full List.
