After falling to a low of 283p shares in James Fisher rallied sharply to 433p, helped by final results, which were ahead of expectations. Fisher increased pretax profit 26% to £24.2m on turnover ahead by 28% to £234m, while eps rose 13% to 36.9p. Net debt increased from £78m to £91.5m due to currency movements, leaving gearing at 94%. Most of its constituent parts enjoyed strong growth with offshore oil services, which rents out specialist oil services equipment, increasing profit by 38% to £12.7m. Margins dipped from 30.4% to 26.3% due to a changing business mix.
