A trading update covering the period from 28 January to 7 April noted that results were in line with expectations, while cash generation has remained strong. Despite challenging trading conditions profits have grown in the UK, with The Sanctuary performing well, supported by a significant pipeline of new products. Meanwhile, in Nigeria revenues and profit growth have been strong across all its divisions, while its nutrition side has returned to profitability. The group's balance sheet remains strong and has a small net debt position. Panmure Gordon has reiterated its forecast for eps to grow 14% to 12.28p for this year, rising another 12% to 13.77p next.
