Shares in Synergy enjoyed a useful one-day rise of 43p after it announced a positive trading update for the fourth quarter to 29 March. Carrying on from the positive trends seen in Q3 all the main businesses have continued to see sustained growth. Importantly, margins are also improving, particularly in the decontamination business following its earlier restructuring measures and it has done well to offset rising input costs caused by the strengthening US$ and Euro versus £sterling. Net debt has edged up from £167m to £170m but with several major capital expenditure projects about to be completed this should fall in the medium-term. Full year results will now be released on 4 June, with eps forecast to be 37.5p, rising to 41.6p ...
