Caretech - Improved borrowing facility to herald more acquisitions

With Caretech noting an improved pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities at more competitive prices than at any time since its float it has placed 3.75m new shares (7.6% of the enlarged share capital) with institutional investors at 400p, raising £15m before expenses. On the strength of that, the company has subsequently refinanced its bank debt, increasing its facility from £107m to £165m “on attractive termsâ€, as well as extending the renewal date to April 2013. This, together with the placing monies means it now has £85m to spend on acquisitions.  Caretech has also announced a pre-close trading update for the six months ended 31 March.
