Shares in JD soared to a new high of 758p and have more than tripled since our tip early last year. This follows better than expected final results, showing pretax profit rising 26% to £67.4m (forecast was £63m) on turnover ahead 15% to £770m for the year to 30 January. Eps rose 29% to 93p, while net cash rose sharply from £23.5m to £60.5m. The core sports fascias division, which comprises the JD, 2 Size and Chausport formats,  increased revenues 10% to £615m, (like-for-like sales up 2.3%), while profit increased from £54m to £64m.
