In a sign of how fickle markets have become, the New Year rally has been derailed by a botched Spanish debt auction, although we suspect that the looming “sell in May and go away†factor was another catalyst for the 4% falls seen by the FTSE-100 and All Share indices over the last month. Against these declines the TMI Trader Portfolio's 1.3% fall was respectable. Its gain since inception exactly 10 years ago is 317%. In a busy month four constituents reported on trading and while generally quite good the market de-rating has created the odd buying opportunity, most notably Photo-Me which, if its cash pile is stripped away, sits on just 2.6 times cash profits.
