Hunting, which makes precision engineered products for the oil & gas sector, has shrugged off concerns regarding a drop in drilling activity in its main Gulf of Mexico market. Helped by a first full-year contribution from £600m of acquisitions made in 2011, which has placed it squarely in the fast-growing shale drilling market, Hunting grew revenues 36% to £826m, while pretax profit rose 59% to £129m. Eps increased 49% to 57.5p.
