New CEO, Steve Rowe, has unveiled encouraging trading for the 13 weeks to 26 March with group sales up 1.9%.Food sales were ahead 4% reflecting the opening of 80 new stores. While like-for-like sales were unchanged it outperformed the market and increased market share to 4.3%.Within Clothing & Home it faced a challenging backdrop characterised by price deflation and a flat market and like-for-like sales fell 2.7%. However, spring / summer season launched with significantly higher product availability than last year. It also made improvements to range and design and Autograph sales rose 10%.
