Homeserve’s full year pre-close update noted that pretax profit will be significantly ahead of the £112.4m delivered in FY’17 and in line with expectations. Total customers increased to 8.4m from 7.8m as at March ’17 while the group retention rate remained at 82%, reflecting global focus on customer satisfaction.All businesses traded as expected in the second half with an excellent performance in North America driven by organic growth and the acquisition of Utility Service Partners.Highlighted at 604p the shares hit a high of 872p at one point and are still 23% ahead.
