Manolete - New litigation finance firm growing like the clappers

Readers may recall that one of our most successful tips has been Burford Capital, a provider of litigation finance to help fund “no win no fee” legal cases. We highlighted the shares at 731p in June ’17 (and added a holding to the Trader Portfolio at 1068p) and they went on to hit a high of 2075p.A combination of rising legal fees, a shortage of funds and key law changes has made litigation finance (where a third party unrelated to the case provides funding to a claimant in return for a share of the spoils) a fast growing industry.
