With 46% of the UK population having received at least their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination, I thought it worthwhile running the rule over Foxtons, which operates over 50 estate and lettings agency branches in the Capital. Foxtons was founded as a single branch in Notting Hill by Jon Hunt in 1981 who famously sold up at the top of the market in 2007 to private equity firm BC Partners for £375m. After a debt restructuring it later floated at 230p in September 2013 before hitting highs of 400p as pretax profit, EBITDA and eps peaked at £38.9m, £49.6m and 13.3p, respectively, in FY’13.
