In spite of the incessant gloom, opportunities keep showing themselves with one example being VP, which provides specialist equipment for hire. On 8th April VP said it expects to report results for the full year  (ended March) ahead of expectations and what I like is that momentum in its end markets are increasingly broadly based. For example it supplies equipment for the HS2 rail project, house building and RMI (repair, maintenance & improvement) sectors, which are building on already strong momentum as the economy opens up. More exciting still is that even VP’s markets, where recovery had been lagging, such as infrastructure projects and larger civil engineering work, are on their way back to pre-Covid levels.VP is organized ...
