Franchise businesses have been a source of rich pickings for TMI in recent times; I recommended Cake Box last December at 135p (which peaked at 185p) and property services firm Belvoir in March 2020 at 174.5p, now up 59% after its take-over by The Property Franchise Group (see page 4). Going even further back, I wrote up Dominos Pizza UK & Ireland, which built a large chain of franchise pizza delivery businesses, at just 30p in November 2005 and they went on to peak at 470p before settling at 345p, a near 12-bagger.
