It seems that clothing retailer, Alexon can do little wrong at themoment.  Results for the six months to 27 July  were againahead of expectations and brokers have rushed to upgrade. Turnover for the period rose 8.7% to £182.4m, while operating profitbefore goodwill increased 73% to £9.9m.  Like-for-like sales rose4.8%, while gross margins also increased.  Alexon brands, which include Alexon, Anne Harvey, Dash and Minuet,improved their contribution by 18% to £9.1m.  But just asencouraging was the news that perennial loss-maker, Dolcis, is nowexpected to break even for the full year.  For the year ending January 2003, Numis has upgraded its forecastfrom £27.3m to £28m, with earnings up ...
