Having touched lows of 98p in August, shares in computer gameretailer,  Game, have recovered sharply, following strong results for the six months to 31 July.  Following upgrades toforecasts for the year to January 2003, pretax profit and earnings arenow expected to be £36.5m and 8.5p, compared to £34.1m and 6.9p at thetime of our main write-up 16 months ago.  For 2004,  this isexpected to rise to £46.9m and 10.6p.Turnover rose 50% to £215m, including a 28.7% increase inlike-for-like sales.  Pretax profit was £3.1m, only the third timethe company has made a profit in its "low" season.Although like-for-like sales slowed to 6% in the nine weeks to 28September, the previous year enjoyed same s ...
