An upbeat set of final results for the year ended 30 June helped shares in "buy and build" confectionery group Glisten push through the £3 mark. Helped by a six month contribution from Halo Foods, turnover increased 99% to £41m, with pretax profit increasing 68% to £3m, while earnings rose 51% to 21.8p, on a sub-normal 17% tax rate.  The Halo acquisition was chiefly behind the increase in net debt from £5m to £9.4m, leaving gearing at 52%. Future earn-outs payments for Halo are currently estimated at £5.5m.Glisten continues to enjoy strong organic growth with like-for-like sales increasing 9% in the period and 16% in the first two months of the new financial year.
