Newfound, which was admitted to AIM on 26 September via the reverse take-over of cash shell Nettec, has established itself as a canny player in the lucrative world of developing overseas holiday resorts. Its first purchase five years ago was of 600 acres of land in the Humber Valley, a heavily forested area of outstanding beauty in the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador, Eastern Canada. Situated just 15 minutes drive from the popular Marble Mountain ski resort and 20 minutes from the nearest international airport, the location was spot on and with the land having no infrastructure in place, Newfound paid just US$0.9m (US$1,428 per acre).
