WSP has announced the small acquisition of Chas. H. Sells Inc (SELLS), a US transport and infrastructure engineer, for an initial £5.5m. SELLS is currently working on several major transportation projects in New York City and is also a leader in specialist bridge design and inspection services. In the year ended 30 June 2007 it generated turnover of £15.5m and a pretax profit of £1.5m. WSP has also acquired CBP Consulting Engineers (CBP), a leading German engineering and project management group, for an initial £8.6m.
