Pawnbroking excepted, the only other retail sector we can think of demonstrating equally good growth is computer game retailing. This month, Game Group (FT sector: Retailers), the UK’s largest computer games retailer issued strong results for the six months to 31 July, leading to a round of forecast upgrades. The platform for Game's dominance of this market was established through its merger with main rival Electronics Boutique in 1999 and aside from the occasional blip it has established a decent track record since then.
