In its pre-close update Homeserve, the home emergency repairs business, announced that trading is in line with expectations for the half year to 30 September, while renewals and marketing take-up rates for its utility branded policies are in line with targets. In its UK membership business gross new policy sales will be 0.7m, nicely ahead of last year's 0.59m. Meanwhile  its international operations in both France and the USA are performing well.As in previous years trading will be weighted towards the second half of the year, which is the busiest period for both marketing and emergency repairs.
