While most shares have paused for breath after strong runs, PZ Cussons has impressively hit another new high after the firm put out a strong trading update covering the period from 1 June to 4 October, which noted an increase in profitability over the same period last year. In Nigeria, the group's largest market, Cussons' Personal Care, Home Care, Electricals and Nutrition businesses have all performed well this year, despite the tightening of liquidity following the imposition of new banking controls. This reflects the continued stability of the political environment and continued strength in oil prices. Project Unity, the group's £39m investment in Nigeria's wider supply chain capability, also remains on schedule.   ...
