Helped by another gold price surge to a new high of US$1,360 an ounce, the gold sector has been set alight by some extraordinary gains in recent weeks. This has been helped by expectations that the US Federal Reserve will restart its money printing program and the smart money is on prices reaching US$1,500 in fairly short order.
