As with our front-page write-up, Photo-Me, professional publisher and conference organiser Informa has been another successful share for TMI over the past decade. Thanks to its combination of “must-have” academic and business titles Informa has weathered economic downturns better than most but sometimes fear can still get the better of investors and this has brought some terrific buying opportunities. For example after 9/11 when it was assumed nobody would ever fly to an overseas event again, we recommended buying at 173p and the shares subsequently recovered above 440p.
