There is an old financial theory that stock prices evolve according to a random walk. Just like a basketball player with a “hot hand†can miss the next shot, the stock that seems to be on the rise can fall at any time. But investors can enjoy multiple successes with a “lucky†share and for us at TMI, fully listed Photo-Me International, whose mainstay is its international estate of coin-operated photo-booths, is perhaps the best example. Originally added to our Trader Portfolio at 23.5p in January 2003 the shares roared to a subsequent high of 142p before we advised selling at 86p.
