In spite of a slowdown in mortgage approvals PVCu double glazing specialist Safestyle continues to chug merrily on with interims showing sales, pretax profit and eps rising 10%, 13% and 10% respectively to £69.2m, £8.8m and 8.5p. Cash increased by £5.6m to £10.8m.The double-glazing market grew by 4.3% in H1 although that included a strong Q1 and slower Q2. But Safestyle outperformed, growing its market share from 7.9% at 31 December ’13 to 8.2% as a 12% increase in digital leads, alongside more customers being approved for finance, made for an 8% jump in volume of frames installed to 136,518.
