The shares spiked towards £10 after Al Noor announced it was in discussions with Mediclinic, which could lead to a potential reverse takeover. Quoted on the Johannesburg stock exchange Mediclinic operates 70 hospitals and care facilities in southern Africa, Switzerland and the UAE and generated sales of £1.8bn and profits of £293m in the year to March 2015. It also has a stake in Spire Healthcare, 352p, another TMI favourite. The strategic rationale is that the enlarged group would gain through geographic diversification as well as becoming market leader in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.Earlier, the company released slightly below forecast interims with revenues up 8.5% to US$244m but net profit fell almost 2% to US$44 ...
