Shares in Tarsus, which owns a fast-growing portfolio of business events around the world, have been range-bound over the past couple of years but we think that’s about to change. Under managing director Doug Emslie, who we met again with over the month, the company has repositioned from low growth European markets (down from 50% to 15% sales since 2009)  towards the US (30%) and particularly emerging markets (up from 33% to 55% of the enlarged group). Investor apathy towards the shares ignores a highly attractive business model, with re-bookings for its established events running at high levels while cash is received up to a year in advance and Emslie has been able to reinvest this into various eps enhancing acquisitions. ...
