Sentiment in shares of recruitment firm, Hays has not been helped by Brexit and the fear that the UK financial services sector will lose its “passporting rights” -  that is the ability to sell services into all EU nations from a base in the UK and mainly London.Nevertheless interims were respectable enough with net fee income (NFI) up 7% to £810m and operating profit rising 13% to £181m. With 88% profits converting into cash, its net cash balance increased to £36.8m (H1 2015: net debt £30.7m).In the UK & Ireland NFI was unchanged at £272m but operating profit rose 14% to £52.1m thanks to strong cost control.
