Regulatory mandates for energy suppliers to switch to a smart meter continues to drive demand at Smart Metering Systems, whose interim results showed a 16% rise in turnover to £54.2m while the long term index-linked annualised recurring revenues (ILARR) from its smart meters and data assets under management jumped 14% to £85.9m, helped by a 3.3% RPI increase last April.
