On the Beach - Full year profit “at the top end of the range”

With Jet2 having already said, “trading is ahead of expectations,” I wasn’t surprised to see On The Beach noting full year pretax profit also “at the top end of the range” and this excellent performance came in a summer dominated by the Rhodes wild fires headlines alongside disruption from airport and air traffic control strikes. Net cash excluding customer balances rose from £64.5m to almost £73m and is forecast to hit a massive £106.9m by FY’25. Encouragingly, EBITDA margins shot up from 14% in H1 to c. 44% in H2 with an average of 30% for the full year, largely due to the heavy investment in marketing falling away to just 27% of sales in the second half.
