IDS, which provides equipment leasing software to over half of thetop 100 US leasing firms, has issued results slightly ahead offorecasts.  However, the market took fright at its comments thatpotential new  customers were delaying decisions to purchase newlicenses, sending the shares to a record low.  Profit for the six months to 30 June, before interest, tax, goodwilland £0.35m of exceptional costs, was £0.5m, on unchanged turnover of£16m.  This represents an improvement from the £1.2m loss thistime last year, reflecting the huge cost-cutting program initiatedthen.  The exceptional item related to the closure of IDS’struggling Boston office, which sells wholesale finance software.IDS has a ve ...
