Shares in EMI have perked up following  confirmation it is to take-over Warner Music, owned by US giant, Time Warner.  The deal would create the world's second largest music group, worth $2 billion.  EMI is the only one of our New Year Naps to have performed poorly, with the shares having at one point dropped to 80p.  We tipped EMI  as a recovery play, but it remains bedevilled with on-line pirating  and price deflation  in its recorded music side.  Sell. ...
