Wembley - Disappointing indictment

On 9 September, US District Court for Rhode Island issued indictments against Wembley's chief executive, Nigel Potter, Daniel Bucci, CEO of the Lincoln Park subsidiary, and that subsidiary itself, claiming they made illegal payments to improperly influence its LincolnPark lawyers. Wembley still believes that the allegations are without foundation and "will defend them vigorously."  While this "worst case scenario" was on the cards the shares still fell sharply because of fears that Wembley would be forced to sell this operation, which generates nearly 90% of group profit, if the State Lottery Commission deems it unsuitable to run it.  Wembley could also face heavy fines and lose those executives to jail sentences.  < ...
