Spice Holdings, a fast-growing provider of support services predominantly to the utilities and specialist telecoms industries, has attracted quite a fan club since it floated on AIM on 26 August.  Thanks partly to its ability to buy underperforming businesses cheaply and turn them around, Spice has seen operating profit increase ninefoldfrom £0.4m in the year ended 30 April 2002 to £3.6m in 2004.
