Connaught - Contract wins push shares about £7

The shares have inched to an all time high of 710p after Connaught released a solid pre-close trading update. For the financial year just ended on  31 August, trading is running in line with its expectations, while an impressive 90% of budgeted turnover for 2006 has also been secured. There was also welcome news of new contract wins worth £200m since May, including a Decent Homes contract with  Hammersmith & Fulham council, worth £50m over 5 years and a contract with the Peabody Trust worth £27.5m over 5 years.
