Buoyed by record prices, shares in South African platinum producer Aquarius Platinum hit an all-time high of 957p ahead of strong final results. For the year ended 30 June, profit after tax increased 309% to US$85.6m, which equates to earnings of US 101 cents (53.6p) per share. These results came through a combination of a 37% increase in attributable production to 447,693 platinum group metal (PGM) ounces and an increase in the PGM basket price of 45% to US$641 per ounce.
