One of the side-effects of China’s economic expansion has been a significant increase in pollution, which brings to mind parallels with our own industrial revolution and the resulting smog which ensued in London. We survived that through passing the Clean Air Act and China’s Government has belatedly initiated its own program to clean up its cities. This therefore represents a good time for Chinese-based environmental engineering firm Tinci, which installs systems to reduce sulphur dioxide pollution, to float on AIM. The shares, which were introduced to AIM on 31 July at 70p by joint brokers Zimmerman Adams and Corporate Synergy, galloped to a high of 124p before pulling back to 109p, which leaves its market value standing at ...
