Since its quarterly results in July self-storage operator, Big Yellow has won planning consents for another five of its development sites in Merton, Sheffield, Poole, Liverpool and Bromley. These will add a further 293,600 sq. ft. of lettable space to its portfolio with planned opening times for the stores ranging throughout next year and into 2009. This also means that 11 of the 28 sites in its pipeline now have planning permission with four of the remainder expected to reach the planning committee in the next three months.
