As we went to press last time, MWB Business Exchange announced it had signed four operating and management agreements (OMAs), taking its total estate to 58 centres, of which 19 are OMAs. These new centres, including two in London and one each in Newcastle and Manchester, will generate approximately £450,000 a year in management fees and profit share. The big advantage of OMAs is that the company won’t be on the hook for hefty capex requirements or the liability of taking on property leases.
