Shares in sports retailer Sports Direct spiked to a new high of 130p after the firm announced better than expected trading at its IMS covering the period from 27 April to 8 September.  For the 13 weeks to 26 July revenue increased by 10% to £375m with gross profit increasing from £150m to £157m. Since the end of July trading has remained ahead of last year and the Board new expects to achieve underlying EBITDA of at least £150m (some £10m ahead of forecasts).
