The announcement of its first dividend for ten years along with its intention to move to the Full List in Q2 next year (and gain inclusion to the FTSE 250) were two reasons why the shares hit a new high of 319p, nearly three times the 109p price at which we tipped them in May last year. The other factor was the strong interims, with pretax profit rising 17.5% to £35.5m on turnover unchanged at £331m for the six months to 30 June. Eps rose 16% to 21p. Meanwhile strong cash flow meant net debt reduced sharply from £151m to £95m, with the de-gearing shown up by the reduction in net debt / EBITDA from 1.7 times to less than 1.
