It's no exaggeration to say that Coastal Energy, a Thailand-based oil & gas producer, has taken the industry by storm after achieving a quite astonishing run of success with the drill-bit. So far in 2011 Coastal, which is dual listed on AIM and Toronto's TSX, has struck oil in 10 out of 11 exploration wells and its management estimate that this alone will more than double its proven and probable reserves to almost 113m barrels. But as the bullish share price chart clearly shows investors are betting that there's plenty more to come and analysts believe the second half program could add another 60m barrels to the total.
