An “in line†update from Greene King with managed pubs registering like-for-like sales growth of 2.6% after 18 weeks and an even better 4.3% increase in the last ten, despite the riots, dodgy summer weather and a tough comparison with last year when the World Cup was held. Both of last year's acquisitions, Cloverleaf and Realpubs, are trading strongly, while the recent offer for Capital Pubs has gone unconditional, allowing the group to start the process of capturing operational savings. In Pub Partners, its tenanted division, average EBITDA per pub rose 2.4% after 16 weeks, although like-for-like EBITDA fell 1% reflecting the competitive environment.
